Award winning Newcastle's Pudding Lady has capped-off a successful year with a number of fine food awards.
Christmas pudding and dessert pudding specialists, Newcastle's Pudding Lady, has taken out the prestigious best new retail product award at Fine Food Australia in Hobart.
The company also won awards for its Traditional and Macadamia Christmas Puddings as well as its brand new Classic Sticky Date Pudding at the Mudgee Fine Food Awards.
In a little over 30 years the company has developed its traditional pudding into a year round addition to the tables of restaurants and private dining rooms in Australia and overseas.
While the traditional Christmas Pudding varieties remain a key product, the Australian and overseas markets have taken up Newcastle's Pudding Lady's range including its newest Classic Dessert Puddings, a package range of three read to eat dessert puddings and each with its own sauce.
Newcastle's Pudding Lady Director, Ann Cummings, said that this latest acknowledgement of the Pudding Lady products was icing on the company's ‘pudding'.
‘The Christmas Pudding range has been highly successful with commercial and private customers who have taken up our products to add to the delivery of their own services. At the same time our puddings have become unique and popular gifts to mark special occasions,' she said.
The Christmas Pudding comes in five flavours in varying sizes to suit any table and just about every taste. From traditional to gluten free options the puddings are sold throughout Australia in retailers including David Jones and boutique delicatessens and about to hit menus in restaurants around Australia.
Newcastle's Pudding Lady products have won a number of awards as varied as those for actual product and others for business acumen and performance. They include gold medals in the Hobart Fine Food Award and the Hunter Manufacturer of the Year and Hunter Exporter of the Year.
